MIKE MIKE AND MIKE........

MIKE SHINODA.... THE PILLAR OF THE PARK...

I love every single member of the crazy fucking band.. But Mike was always my favourite.. Perhaps, its because of the first song I have ever heard 'In The End' in which Mike was simply awesome. Since then,Mike had a place in my heart(everyone has.. But he deserves a little more).

He likes to rap.. And probably, one of the best..(Rapgod,forgive me!!) He rap too much that LP was not enough and for that he has his rap solo thing, 'Fort Minor'. There he could rhyme and rhyme and rhyme..

He was born on Feb 11, 1977. His father was a Japanese-American and his mother was European. He was encouraged to take classical piano classes by his mum. Later he started practicing jazz, blues, and hip hops. He then included rap and guitar to his music career and became Mike as we know now. But.. most of us do not know that he owns a bachelor of arts degree in in illustration and he have his works displayed in the Japanese American National Museum.Being an artist, Shinoda has had a hand in most artistic facets of Linkin Park's imagery, including album artwork, band merchandise, web design, and on-stage production art. He designed the cover-art for Styles of Beyond's debut album, 2000 Fold in 1999.

He started the band with his high school mates Brad and Rob. Xero was started and later LP grew out of it(I have already posted the story).Till now.. Mike plays the most important role in the band, as a co-vocalist, rythm as well as bass guitarist, pianist, song writer, and designer.. He is definitely an all in all..

Apart from LP.. He has a solo thing Fort Minor. It was formed in 2003. He sarted to show more of his Hip Hop style.
''Fort' represents the more aggressive side of the music. 'Minor' can mean a few things: if you're talking about music theory, the minor key is darker. I wanted to name the album rather than having my name on the cover, because I want people to focus on the music, not me", Mike told.
The band has so far released an album The rising rides, a couple of Mixtapes and quite a lot of singles. Its expected to release an album in 2015.

Shinoda has also served as a music producer for several other artists and groups. In 2002, Shinoda and Joe Hahn collaborated with the X-Ecutioners to produce and perform on their single "It's Goin' Down". Later in 2002, Shinoda and Brad Delson established their own record label, Machine Shop Recordings. He helped produce Lupe Fiasco's 2006 release, Food & Liquor. He extensively worked with Styles of Beyond between 2009 and 2012 to help produce Reseda Beach, which also features his instrumental and vocal contribution. In addition albums, Shinoda scored the MTV VMA's in 2005 and also worked with Ramin Djawadi to score the video game, Medal of Honor: Warfighter. In 2011, he collaborated with Joseph Trapanese to compose the score for the American release of The Raid: Redemption.

Apart from all these.. He runs his own record label named Machine Shops Record. As LP became a huge success, Warner Bros. Group granted Mike his own record label. He runs it together with his band mate Brad. The company has so far released albums of quite a few musicians.

FROM XERO TO LP

As you guys all know.. Everything started with these three guys.. Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson. These guys were high school friends. They took there music career a little serious and recruited Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell and Mark Wakefield and they started the Xero which later transformed into what we, today, call LINKIN PARK. Mike sacrificed his bedroom and it was changed into the recording studio and the first 4-track demo tape, titled Xero was composed in 1996. This marked the kick off.  But the band came short of money and they could not gather recording deals. Due to these diffuculties, Mark Wakefield, the then leading vocalist, left the group followed by Dave, who left to tour with Tasty Snax, a Christian punk and ska band.

The team searched for a replacement for Mark. It was then, our now leading vocalist Chesterr Bennington, got introduce into the band. He was selected due to the unique dynamics in his voice. The band decided to change their name from Xero to Hybrid Theory. And the new born chemistry between Mike's and Chester's voice, which we still love or admire, help to revive the band. The band created some extended plays which they circulated among forums and internet chat rooms. The renaissance of the band was culminated with yet another change in the name. They changed to "Linkin Park" a homage or tribute to Santa Monica's Lincoln Park. They actually thought of using the name Lincoln Park but as a internet domain with that name was not available.. They chose Linkin..

And in 1999,the band signed an agreement with Warner Bros. and the very first commercial hit Hybrid Theory was born. They released the album on October 24, 2000. With Crawling, In the End, Papercut and more the Album went viral and almost 4.8 m was sold. With several grammy awards LP had a breakthrough.

After that.. They had not turned back.. The journey passed through Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns, Living Things, and The hunting Party. Added to these thrillers.. Many other side projects were also done by them..

I know the above post was a bit formal.. I know for a true Linker, everything I have just told would be known by-heart. But for someone who is not familiar with our Metal Legends.. I think my post may do some good.

I have provided enough links to different Wikepedia pages for further information. In addition to them..

Let me start...

"I remember black skies.. lightning all around me..."

Oh.. Sorry guys.. I was a bit involved in the song.. I didn't see you coming..

So.. Folks.. Here I am with my new blog and first of all let me tell to you that this blog comes from my heart, i.e., every 'opinion' I post will be genuine. Being a die hard LP fan.. I feel privileged to start something like this.. I feel really happy as I am going to speak of something I really admire.. Something I love..

I have been listening to LP for ..er.,almost 5 years,I suppose. And except a few songs from the latest album 'The Hunting Pary',none has disappointed me.. The very first song I heard was 'In The End' and I still remember,me searching for the lyrics and by-hearting them(nostalgia!!). Since then,I have heard every song of them.

More than anything, its their dedication that makes me love them.. We could feel their spirit.. We could understand how thrilled were they while performing it.. We forget everything else, listening to them.. Mike,Chester,Rob,Dave,Brad or Hahn... Each and every one of them are unique and perfect..
Words cannot merely express my love towards them..

I JUST LOVE THEM.......

Well.. I got a little emotional.. Sorry..
So.. Guys.. Wait and check out My Linkin Park to be entertained and informed..

For tonight.. Just listen 'Roads Untraveled' and go to sleep.. catch you later..

Take care...
